On 29 January 2025, Black Country Divers had an unforgettable evening at Sandwell Aquatics Centre, diving in the Olympic dive pool. Participants enjoyed a fun-filled night of skill and camaraderie, creating lasting memories in a world-class facility. It was truly an amazing experience for all involved!

Our recent scuba diving trip to Mexico was an incredible adventure filled with unforgettable experiences! Evenings were spent sharing stories and laughter, reflecting on the day’s adventures and the breathtaking sights we encountered. Jeff Celebrates 25 Years of Diving: A Return to Stoney Cove

Jeff recently marked a major milestone in his diving career, celebrating 25 years since his first open water dive. To commemorate this special occasion, he returned to the very same location where his diving journey began – Stoney Cove. This nostalgic trip was a chance for Jeff to reflect on his quarter-century of underwater adventures and relive the memories that sparked his passion for diving.

Resuscitation Training at Netherton Reservoir: A Vital Skill Refreshed

Our experienced instructor, Dan, recently led a resuscitation training session at Netherton Reservoir, where divers gathered to refresh their skills and knowledge in this critical area. The training focused on the latest techniques and best practices for responding to diving-related emergencies, ensuring that participants were equipped to handle a range of scenarios. Under Dan’s expert guidance, the group practiced and perfected their resuscitation skills, reinforcing the importance of being prepared and confident in the event of an emergency. The session was a valuable reminder of the importance of ongoing training and the need to stay up-to-date with the latest protocols and procedures.

A Day Dive Trip to Brixham Breakwater

It was a beautiful day as Jon, Mike, Kyle, and Simon set off on their day dive trip to Brixham. The excitement was palpable as they made their way to the coast, eager to explore the underwater world that lay beneath the waves.

As they arrived at the Brixham breakwater, the group couldn’t help but feel a sense of anticipation. The breakwater, a man-made structure that stretches out into the sea, is known for its rich marine life and diverse array of fish species.

After gearing up and conducting their safety checks, the group slipped beneath the surface of the water and began their dive. The clear blue waters offered excellent visibility, allowing them to take in the stunning scenery that surrounded them.

The dive was a leisurely one, with the group taking their time to explore the nooks and crannies of the breakwater. As they made their way along the breakwater, the group was treated to a kaleidoscope of marine life. The group also spotted a number of crustaceans, including crabs and lobsters, which added to the diversity of the underwater world.

The day dive trip to Brixham had been a resounding success, with the group experiencing an unforgettable day of diving and exploration.
